Send your request
Email business@nitya-aarogya.com with the subject “Data deletion request”, addressed to Shubham Desoria. Include your name, the relevant clinic or account, your contact details, and the information you want deleted. For a WhatsApp-related request, identify the phone number used and the relevant clinic.
Do not include passwords, full Aadhaar or other identity-document numbers, or medical attachments in the first email.
Verify and agree the scope
We may need to verify your identity and authority and coordinate with your clinic. Patients can also contact their clinic directly about medical records. We aim to acknowledge your request within 7 calendar days.
Receive an outcome
We aim to resolve verified requests within 30 calendar days after necessary verification. We will explain what was deleted, any information that must be retained and why, and any remaining provider or backup steps. Applicable shorter legal deadlines take precedence.
Cancelling a subscription or removing a patient through the application does not automatically erase all related records. Use this request process for deletion.
How long clinic records are kept
Patient records are the clinic's records. We keep a clinic's records online for 5 years from the date the clinic joined. After that, once a year, we hand over the oldest year of records to the clinic as a download, remind the head doctor 3 times, and then delete that year of records from our systems. Records under legal hold, or that a court, a regulator or the law requires us to keep, are not deleted. After hand-over, keeping the records is the clinic's responsibility. The full schedule is in our Terms of Service.
Backups and independent copies
Backup copies are removed within 90 calendar days after a deletion, whether it follows a yearly hand-over or an approved request, except records under legal hold or that the law requires us to keep. If a provider restriction requires a different schedule for a particular backup, we will explain it in our response.
Deletion from our systems does not automatically delete records held independently by your clinic, message recipients or video-recording participants. Those organizations or people may need to be contacted separately. Medical-record, accounting, legal or dispute-related obligations may require retention of specific information.
WhatsApp and Facebook connections
If a clinic connects its WhatsApp Business number to Nitya Aarogya, it signs in through Meta (Facebook Login for Business) and grants access to its WhatsApp Business account. Through that connection we store only:
- the WhatsApp Business account ID, phone number ID and display phone number;
- an access token that lets us send and receive messages for that number;
- message logs, delivery status and templates created for the clinic.
We do not store the person's Facebook password, friends, posts or other Facebook profile information.
To remove the connection and the data received from Meta, do either of these:
Remove the app in Meta
Open Meta Business Settings at business.facebook.com, go to Integrations → Connected apps (or WhatsApp Manager → Partners), select Nitya Aarogya and remove it. Our access ends immediately, and we delete the stored access token and account identifiers within 7 calendar days.
Ask us by email
Email business@nitya-aarogya.com with the subject “WhatsApp data deletion request”, naming the clinic and the WhatsApp number.
Message history that forms part of a patient's clinic record is handled through the request process above, because the clinic may need to keep it. Removing the connection does not delete messages already delivered to patients' phones or copies held by Meta under its own policies.
For the full explanation of how information is handled, read our privacy policy and our Terms of Service.
